The Blue Cruise from Bodrum to Fethiye is an adventure full of historical ruins, panoramic vistas, natural beauty and entertainment to enjoy and discover.

History and Scenic Beauty From Bodrum Through to Fethiye

Bodrum is a port city and peninsula in southern Turkey with many places to visit. Tour members will depart at 4:00 pm from Bodrum and the day will conclude on Karaada Island. The tour will navigate you through the streets of Bodrum where historical ruins and cultural hotspots can be explored. There are also places to shop, many bars and restaurants and beaches to enjoy. Our journey will then lead to Karaada Island, famous for its natural spa-treatments including mineral waters, thermal waters and mud baths. The natural treasures on this island are believed to have been used by the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra to beautify her skin.

Knidos Harbour is the first interesting site that we will be visiting today. It is a natural harbour and its long promenade meets with both the Aegean and Mediterranean seas. From the Harbour, tour members will be led to our next location, to discover the deep-rooted past of the Ancient City of Knidos. At this site many old ruins and what remains of ancient temples and theatres can be seen. The city also boasts outstanding panoramic views from its hills where some of these ruins lie. After exploring the city, the tour will continue to the village of Palamutbuku which is famous for its shallow crystal-clear blue waters that connect to a long shingle beach, perfect for a relaxing afternoon. Behind the beach is a long promenade with waterfront restaurants and bars with low-lying hills and whitewashed houses in the backdrop.

Today we will be visiting the idyllic port town of Datca, where the Aegean Sea, Gokova Gulf, Mediterranean Sea and the Hisaronu Gulf all meet. The town is known for its heavenly nature, peaceful coves and pristine beaches that are full of sandy textures and calm waters. Behind the port is Kumluk Path where many cafes, restaurants and bars can be found offering the opportunity to taste authentic delicacies and Datca wine. Connected to this path is Datca Bazaar, where members can find shops and souvenir stalls. Just behind the harbour are some of the best bars and clubs within Datca, showcasing its vibrant nightlife

Serce Port is a small sheltered fjord-like harbour with magnificent steep rocks. Its sandy and pebbled coast leads out into crystal-clear waters which are home to many sea creatures. Byzantine ruins from an 11th century shipwreck were once excavated from this very port. We will then sail southwest to Bozukkale, beloved for its history and nature. The village has ruins, an ancient castle, and a long historic wall that was once used by the Athenians before the battle of Knidos. The village boasts crystal-clear waters where large sea turtles and occasionally dolphins can be seen.

Today, we will be exploring the picturesque port city of Marmaris, located in the Mugla Province. Marmaris is home to a long stretch of golden beaches and serene coves that are perfect for swimming, snorkelling and in some areas, even diving. Its lands are equally beautiful with verdant hillsides, national parks and an array of landmarks ranging from ancient ruins to a museum. Its town streets are full of restaurants and cafes with a range of delicacies to meet everyone's taste. The area is also home to &nbsp;Marmaris Bar Street, well known for its vibrant nightlife hotspots which includes bars and clubs.

Located on the coastal shores between Marmaris and Dalyan is Ekincik Bay. The bay has a beautiful stretch of golden sandy beaches surrounded by steep slopes that are full of pine trees. Its waters are deep and crystal-clear, and there is an underwater cave system waiting to be discovered. Many marine creatures including a variety of colourful fish and Loggerhead turtles who tend to nest in the bay occupy these waters. Tour members may also sight some rare species of eagles that live in the area.

Cleopatra Baths is our first destination for today's tour. Remnants of the ancient baths that were gifted to Queen Cleopatra &nbsp;can be seen, under the crystal-clear waters. Next we will visit Yassica Islands, consisting of five islands and the submerged ruins of a bridge providing a haven for snorkelers. The tour will then lead us to the Gocek 12 Islands, members will witness magnificent views, natural landscapes, azure waters and many spectacular beaches. The journey will then continue to Fethiye, home to many historical landmarks. Behind the harbour lies the Amyntas King Tombs, an ancient Greek cliffside tomb with columned porticos, carved out of the solid rock. Located on a hill nearby are the ruins of Fethiye Castle, which once served as a naval base but today offers the most spectacular vistas.

We will begin by exploring Paspatur Bazaar which is situated in Fethiye’s Old Town. Paspatur was once used as a harbour in the Ottoman period where ruins of tombs, wells and mosaics remain. Today, the bazaar is an expansive open-air delight renowned for its multicoloured umbrellas that hang above the pedestrian streets. Amongst its narrow streets there are shops, cafes, restaurants and weekly markets. The surrounding areas of Fethiye along with its town centre also have many other fascinating places to visit such as Lycian tombs, historical castles and Fethiye Kordon harbour promenade, known for its eateries and nightlife hotspots.

The &nbsp;Blue Lagoon in Oludeniz, will be our first stop for today. It is a photogenic area with a long stretch of silky sand, surrounded by different shades of emerald green waters. It provides a perfect area for swimming and snorkelling and has a rich variety of fauna. The trip will then continue down to Butterfly Valley, well-known for its wide variety of butterfly species and cliffs that lead to a large multi-tiered waterfall. The tour will then proceed to St Nicholas Island, also known as Gemiler Island. This uninhabited island offers shelter for overnight stays, where visitors can explore the islands' historical tombs and churches before enjoying a night underneath the stars.

The tour will begin at Yesilkoy, also known as Firnaz and Aquarium Bay, which we will revisit later on during our tour. The next stop for today is the unparalleled beauty of Kas. The town has several dream-like sandy beaches to visit where water sports, historical ruins from as early as the Lycian era can be found. The streets are full of shopping opportunities, eateries and bars to enjoy. The tour will then continue over to Limanagzi Bay, the greenest and most sheltered bay within the area with almost no waves. Steep hills with bright vegetation surround the location and a small beach with clear water and a rich underwater sea life can be found.

The tour today will start by exploring Simena, an awe-inspiring village with a plethora of houses scattered between its cliffs. There is also a pathway with shops and cafes leading to the Byzantine-era Simena Castle. The castle offers exquisite panoramic views of the bay, its glittering waters and Kekova Island in the backdrop. From here, the tour will continue to Ucagiz Village, a sheltered bay located on the Lycian Way with calm turquoise waters. Its waterfront is full of wonderful eateries that prepare fresh seafood from its very waters. There are also souvenir shops and ancient ruins scattered around the Ancient City of Theimussa.

The tour today will start by exploring the island of Kekova which lies along the Turkish Riviera in the southwest of Demre. This uninhabited island has many archaeological remains of antiquity scattered on its land along with underwater ruins. The most famous part of Kekova Island is its Sunken City on the northern side of the island. It is here where many ruins from the ancient city of Lycia remain half submerged in the crystal-clear seas including stone stairs, embankments and walkways. The tour will then proceed to Gokkaya Bay, a sheltered location with a dazzlingly aquamarine sea full of marine life.

Today, the tour takes us back to Firnaz, also known as Aquarium Bay and Yesilkoy. The cove is a living paradise, resembling an aquarium with clear emerald waters full of marine life. The bay is also renowned for its mud baths that are believed to rejuvenate the skin. The tour will then continue to the town of Kalkan, known for its rich ancient history with ruins from the ancient Lycian era. Along its Mediterranean Coastline there are many pristine beaches, rooftop restaurants and beach clubs to enjoy.

Today, the tour will begin at Karacaoren, a partially sheltered bay with refreshing cold waters from its underwater springs. There are also some Byzantine-era ruins on the land that can be discovered. The tour will then proceed to Tarzan Bay, where the sea meets with the verdant forest. An interesting rope swing can be found, where tour members can swing and land in its gleaming emerald waters. The waters are extremely deep and divers can discover a variety of sea creatures and ancient amphoras. The tour for today will then conclude at the protected Samanlik Bay home to a beautiful pebble beach and crystal clear waters that are rich in coral reefs and sea creatures.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Fethiye at 9:00 am. Near the port of Fethiye there are many historical ruins that lie on Fethiyes hill slopes. Ancient tombs, castles and theatres can be found and not only give a historical feel but offer beautiful landscape views to experience. Its coastline is also known as a natural harbour with sparkling blue waters that connect to a plethora of beaches and coves. Fethiye is popular for its streets of Paspatur, which are full of places to discover including local cuisines, souvenir shops and markets along with umbrella street, where many umbrellas can be seen hanging overhead.
