Bozburun Blue Cruise: Discover Hidden Bays and New Shades of Sea

Bozburun is one of the most charming places in Turkey, located southwest of Marmaris, directly opposite the Greek town of Sami on the Kefalonia Island. Being a popular Blue Cruise route, Bozburun is also known for its shipyards and it is from here that our exciting journey starts at 4:00 pm. The mountainous shores here are overgrown with a dense emerald forest; crystal clear water and the wealth of underwater inhabitants have given this place the right to be called an aquarium bay and the best point for diving. Also, the absence of high waves and a constant light breeze will allow you to find ideal conditions for windsurfing and sailing. Then we will sail to the small Kiseli Island, named after the remnants of a spring from the Byzantine period, where we will drop anchor for the night. On this secluded and picturesque island, we will spend the rest of the day swimming, diving for colorful fish and enjoying the magnificent sunset.

On the second day of our trip, we will go to Kizil Island, which is also called the Red Island, because of the red soil on its shores. This beautiful and peaceful area has everything for a perfect stopover and a relaxing day. We will be able to enjoy the gentle sea and see the interesting Kizil Lighthouse of the 19th century. In 2007 it was refurbished into a family run hotel with an excellent fish restaurant. The next stop on our cruise will be Dirsekbuku, a deep hidden and very secluded bay between Hisaronu and Yesilova bays. In this beautiful place there is a small village and a restaurant. We will anchor here and stay overnight, enjoying the beauty of nature and walking through the green area.

Today our trip will be relaxed and filled with water adventures. In the morning we will sail towards the Datca peninsula to the beautiful secluded Dimitri Bay which is surrounded by pine forests. The peculiarity of this bay is that, thanks to access only from the sea, it has preserved the untouched pristine nature of the Mediterranean. Here you will spend a delightful day swimming, snorkeling, diving or just relaxing on the deck under the rays of the gentle Turkish sun. A magnificent sunset will be the final note of the day, which tour members will remember forever.

On the new day of our journey, our course will guide us to an interesting place called Hurmalibuk which extends to the northeast of Cape Deal. The slopes of this area are densely overgrown with date palms; there is no one here but wild goats and donkeys, as well as an enchanting harmony of blue and green. We will be able to enjoy the shining sea and seclusion and then move on to our next destination Emel Sayin Bay where we will stay overnight. This place is also known as Bencik Bay and is famous for its stunning natural beauty with calm beaches and dense forest. This bay has a rich ancient history associated with the Persian conquests and in addition to walking and water sports, it also offers an excellent fish restaurant.

Today we will go to the charming Kameriye Island, where there are crystal clear waters with many fish and secluded coves. But above all, this location is known for the fact that there was previously a small but thriving Greek community here, from which ruins remain including the 1800-year-old Orthodox Church of the Virgin Mary and the monastery. Here tour members can walk around the historical sites, see the ancient mosaic floor, water cisterns and see the wishing trees covered with pieces of cloth. After that, we will move on and anchor for the night in Selimiye. This is a real hidden paradise of Marmaris, where you can find relaxation, cultural hotspots, swimming and interesting places to explore like Selimiye Castle and the nearby Turgut Waterfall.

Today our journey will be filled with beauty and interesting activities. We will start the day with a stop at Koca Bahce Bay. The untouched nature of this area, overgrown with pines and olive trees, amazes visitors with its magnificence and healing powers. It is an ideal location for those who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of the busy city. We will swim and dive and also walk through the green groves. Then we will proceed to Akbuk Bay near the village of Sarnic, where we will anchor for the night. This is an incredibly beautiful bay surrounded by forests with clear water, where we will spend the rest of the day enjoying the sea, the sun and a magnificent vibrant sunset. Tour members can also go hiking and take the most amazing photographs, along with snorkeling or canoeing.

We will start the next day of our cruise in the most beautiful place of Sogut Island with a peaceful atmosphere. Many yachts come to this fishing island to stock up and enjoy gastronomic experiences in the many restaurants that are scattered along the island's coastline. If you are interested in historical sites, then be sure to check out the ancient city of Tissanos. We will then dock on the east side of the island at the famous dive site Uctas Bay, where you will see a new shade of blue. There is an underwater wealth containing 3 rocks at the bottom, with magnificent coral formations that are home to numerous colorful fish. After these adventures, we will go to the overnight stay on the already familiar Kiseli Island, where we can once again enjoy the amazing sunset.

At the end of our vibrant sea cruise on the last day, we will arrive in Bozburun and end our tour at 9:00 am. After that, you will have a great opportunity to get to know this magnificent place better and experience all the pleasures that it offers. For example, for gourmands, there are many coastal restaurants with excellently cooked seafood. You can also go shopping to souvenir shops to choose something as a gift for loved ones .Fans of historical places should climb the Asar Hill above the village to see the remains of the ancient city of Larymna, including the ruins of walls, fortresses and the remains of a cemetery. The ascent here will not be difficult and will take about 45 minutes, but the breathtaking view of the bay and the village from the hill is definitely worth it.
