Discover Historic Remains and Cultural Hotspots Within Fethiye

Fethiye is a port city and district which has many places that can be visited. Tour members will depart at 4:00 pm from Fethiye and end in Boncuklu Bay. We will navigate you through the popular sites, historic remnants and cultural hotspots. The route will also include favored swimming spots and beaches in the area. After our tour of Fethiye, we will then move on to Boncuklu Bay. West of Paspatur, the bay is known for its clear, turquoise waters. Camp sites, beach clubs and Boncuklu Beach Park can also be found here. We will finish off the day enjoying the sun, sea and golden stretch of beach the area is so famously known for.

Located on the Lycian Way, the Blue Lagoon is arguably one of the most visited spots in Fethiye. The naturally sheltered lagoon and surrounding beauty makes it a regularly visited location. From here, the abandoned village of Kayakoy will be the next destination. The ancient Lycian village was home to many civilizations, and has a rich layer of history. The tour will then lead us to Gemiler Island also known as St. Nicholas Island. The island is home to incredible beaches, ancient ruins and the original tomb of St. Nicholas himself.

The day will start with a tour of Yesilkoy, a lush inland village close to the coast, Firnaz and Aquarium Bay. The tour will then move eastwards and stop off at Hidayet Bay which is just over 2 km from the center. After enjoying the waters and turquoise bays, the next stop is Kas town center. Here we will tour the main sites and tourist attractions dotted around the town. One of these is Kas Local Market, where farmers and locals from surrounding villages sell their goods. After a spot of shopping, we will move on to Antiphellos Ancient City which is located in Kas town center. Our last stop for the day will be further south at Limanagzi Bay, one of the most beautiful bays in Kas.

The region of Kekova is mostly known for its inhabited island and ancient sites. After starting our visit from Kekova, we will cross over to Kekova Island where the Sunken City and its ruins can be found. Passing back over to the mainland into the quaint coastal town of Simena, Simena Castle is the focal point of the area in which it will be explored. Following our journey inland, the final stops will be some of the spectacular surrounding bays such as Burc Bay, Sicak Bay and Gokkaya Bay. Burc Bay is known for its underground mineral water which makes the temperature slightly cooler whilst Sicak Bay and Gokkaya Bay are known for their perfect conditions for watersports.

We will begin the day in Demre which is famous for the ancient city of Myra, the birthplace of St. Nicholas, who is the historical inspiration for Santa Claus. Just west of the town is Karemlik Bay which will be the first beach that will be visited. As we move further west, Camlik Bay followed by Esmeralda Bay will be the next points. These are all beautiful secluded inlets, with turquoise warm waters and picturesque views. Following eastwards, we will explore the ancient coastal village of Ucagiz before crossing over to Asirli Island, a popular Blue Cruise Tour stop. We will finish the day at Kocakari Bay, a sheltered inlet perfect for snorkeling and diving among the coral reefs.

Kovanli Islands, made up of Kovan Island and Kovanli Island, situated south of Kas in the open Mediterranean. Our first stop will be enjoying the beautiful secluded twin islands before heading west to Yilan Island, situated southwest of Kalkan. After soaking up the sun, we will explore the popular town of Kalkan. The warm, coastal town has many historic and cultural sites as well as sandy beaches. The next part of our journey will explore the ancient cities of Patara and Xanthos. These Lycian and Roman ruins are some of the most significant ruins of their kind found in the area. As we head north, we will visit Saklikent Gorge, a national park home to the great canyon. We will end the day with bay hopping at Firnaz, Yesilkoy and Aquarium Bay.

Butterfly Valley is one of the must see sites when visiting Fethiye. Home to a number of butterfly species, it is known for its beach, views and ecotourism. The next Bay that will be visited is Soguk Su Bay, south of Kayakoy. It is great for snorkeling and other watersports and has restaurant facilities. A short distance from the Fethiye district center is Tarzan Bay. The crystal clear bay is a popular Blue Cruise stop particularly great for diving. Before wrapping up the day, Samanlik Bay will be the last site. This pebbled bay is home to coral reefs and an abundant ecosystem.

On the final day of the tour we will depart from Fethiye and end at Paspatur Bazaar at 9:00 am. The tour will guide us through the coastal port city in detail. Sites such as Ece Saray Marina, the Lycian Stone Sarcophagi, the many cafes and restaurants and markets can all be visited. Part of the city is Paspatur Bazaar. Here can be found a great range of souvenirs shops, restaurants and numerous bars. The bazaar is the heart of the old city and is alive during the day as well as at night.
