Dazzling Bays, Ancient Cities and Turquoise Seas of Kemer

Kemer is a wonderful seaside resort that is located west of the city of Antalya. Until the early 1980s, it was a quiet and rural district, but today the town of Kemer and its coastal villages are well known tourist destinations. Tour members will depart at 4:00 pm. from Kemer. It is surrounded by glistening turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, and there is plenty to see and do in this part of Turkey. We will start with some historical sightseeing and visit Phaselis and Phaselis Ancient City. The location will provide true natural beauty where historical ruins are waiting for tour members to discover. Phaselis was once one of the most important cities of the Lycian League. The Roman ruins are well preserved, and many things can be seen, such as protection walls, Hadrian's Arch, Roman baths, mosaics, and a theater. After exploring, the tour will guide us to Adrasan, also known as Cavus Bay. The bay lies within the 2.5-kilometer stretch of coastline where there are many sandy and shingle beaches to enjoy and villages to explore.

The day will commence by visiting Suluada, it is a picturesque Island with a natural water spring beneath the sea bed. This area is well loved during the hot summer months due to the cool and refreshing temperature of the sea water. Also referred to as the Maldives of the Mediterranean it has two soft sandy beaches, picturesque surroundings, and crystal-clear turquoise waters. Continuing on, we will visit Akseki Bay. The area allows visitors to feel as if they are swimming in a pool with its dark but clear water. Our next stop is Cape Gelidonya, a headland on the Teke Peninsula, and an important station on the Lycian Ways 500 kilometer long walking path. The cape is the site of a late Bronze Age shipwreck dating back to 1200 BC and the Gelidonya Lighthouse which has assisted sailors since 1936. &nbsp;Porto Ceneviz is our next stop. The wide open bay showcases rocks rising out of the sea almost horizontally, giving the bay a protected feel. The sea here is calm, and the waters are warm, perfect for enjoying a wonderful swim.

This morning we will explore some interesting historical sites and enjoy an afternoon of refreshing swimming spots. We will start our day in the town of Kumluca, which is located 90 kilometers west of the city of Antalya and lies on the Teke Peninsula. It is situated close to Olympos,with a mountain of everlasting fire. Kumluca is known for its sandy soil that is good for growing watermelons and its spectacular scenery. Our next stop for today will be Olympos Ancient City, where historic ruins from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods have survived to the present day. Tour members can explore the site and delve into its history. Our next stop for today is Cirali Beach. This pristine beach has pebbled and sandy textures backed by lush green mountains, studded with palm trees and olive groves. We will then head towards our final location which is Alacasu Bay where there is a long pebbled beach to enjoy. This magnificent cove is known for its beauty, and clear warm waters. During the 17th and 18th centuries this area is said to have been a hot spot for pirates.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from the pleasant seaside resort of Kemer at 9:00 am. Located on the Mediterranean coast, 32 kilometers from Antalya, it has become one of the most impressive tourist destinations within the region. Known for its wonderful caves, green forest and mountain areas, sparkling sea water, and historical sights. Kemer is also an important location for yacht and boating tourism as it is home to a modern marina, with a spectacular 52 kilometer long coastline to explore.
