Rich History and Interesting UNESCO World Heritage Sites

On the first day of the tour, tour members will depart at 4:00 pm from Trogir to Drvenik Veli Island. The small island of Trogir, will be our first stop for today. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe, home to spectacular natural coastlines, tropical palm trees, and exquisite historical monuments. The next stop on the agenda for today is Drvenik Veli Island, where tour members can experience the Mediterranean dream in a tranquil location. Referred to as a paradise, this area showcases clear turquoise seas, enchanting bays, stone houses and pine, olive, and palm trees. Within the Island of Drvenik Veli we will visit Grabula Bay, where tour members will be able to enjoy one of the island's most popular beaches. Surrounded by untouched mediterranean nature, the bay is naturally sheltered from the wind. It is the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing evening swim along with relaxing and admiring wonderful shining stars.

Today's journey will lead us from Drvenik Veli Island to Vis Island, until 1989 it was off limits to tourists due to the army base that resided here. Vis Island has two small towns, both of which are situated at the foot of two large bays. Vis town lies on the northeast side of the island and the capital of Komiza town is situated in the southwest. Here tour members can find many mysterious bays, undersea caves, an Archaeological Museum, Fisherman’s Museum and underwater shipwrecks. The island is also a gastronomic hotspot, where many fresh fish restaurants can be found serving local delicacies such as lobster and varieties of fish pies.

Today's tour will take us from Vis Island to Lastovo Island. Lastovo Island's population is less than 1,000 and is just 18 square miles in size. Up until 1988 the island was closed to visitors when it fell under Yugoslavia rule. As it hasn't been touched by mass tourism it has a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere with little amenities compared to other Dalmatian Islands. Lastovo and its surrounding islands make up one of the eleven nature parks in Croatia. The Lastovo Nature Park, is the second most forested area in Croatia, full of thriving vegetation and nature and is most definetly a spectacular site to see. Whilst exploring Lastovo Island we will visit Zaklopatica Bay, a small area on the northern part of the island's coastline. Referred to by many as one of Lastovo’s best-kept secrets, this wonderful picturesque and sheltered bay is surrounded by a row of luxurious villas and houses. As a popular stop over for sailors and boaters, the bay also has some amenities such as restaurants and cafes.

Today we will sail from Lastovo Island to Korcula Island which is the sixth-largest island in Croatia known for its dense forestry. The first location that we will explore on Korcula Island is Korcula Island’s Vela Prizba, a small tourist area that lies on the island's southern shore complete with a small port which is well protected from winds. This natural and unspoiled area provides members with a lovely place to swim surrounded by unspoiled nature. Lastly we will visit Korcula Island’s Vela Luka, located on the western side of the island it is the largest town within Korcula. Vela Luca is home to several beautiful coves, vineyards, olive groves, fig trees and pine trees. One of the most interesting sites here is Vela Spila, also known as the Great Cave. Evidence suggests this wonderful rocky area was once a hide out for passing sailors and it is believed to have been used since the Neolithic Period. This wonderful town showcases many cultural heritage sites, hospitable local people, clear seas and fantastic beaches.

On today's tour we will travel from Korcula Island to Hvar Island. Hvar Island is one of Croatia's crown jewels, home to the most UNESCO heritage of any island in the world. This island has it all from spectacular beaches, delicious Mediterranean food delicacies, indigenous grapes creating the finest wines and a wide variety of water and land sports to choose from. Here tour members can also find attractions such as Hvar Fortress, a Franciscan Monastery, Veneranda, the Arsenal and theater, and Hanibal Lucic garden. The iconic waterfront, also known as Riva, is among the most luxurious on the Adriatic, where many superyachts can be seen. We will then move on to the Pakleni Islands which are a chain of rocky islets located just off the coast of Hvar. Here tour members will find picturesque coves, stunning beaches, bars, and an abundance of spectacular nature. The islands are known for their clear waters, wonderful snorkeling and swimming opportunities, secluded beaches, breathtaking view points and quaint villages. Whilst touring the Paklinski Islands we will visit Palmizana. This delightful village is filled with colorful flowers and it is one of the most popular areas on the island. Here tour members can enjoy a wonderful sandy beach, crystal clear swimming waters, restaurants and many beach bars with a relaxing atmosphere.

Our journey for today will guide us from Hvar Islands to Brac Island. Brac Island has many fun things on offer such as hiking to mysterious sites and visiting cultural and historical attractions. Whilst exploring Brac Island we will visit the town of Bol. Located on the southern side of the island, it is the oldest town on the coast. It became a tourist destination at the beginning of the 20th century and is an attractive place due to its sunny climate, 10 kilometers of beautiful beaches, forested areas, and drinkable spring waters. In this small town, Mediterranean culture can be seen all over with its narrow cobbled roads, quaint stone buildings, and an abundance of natural colors. The location is home to many harborside bars and restaurants, as well as historical places such as the Church of the Madonna of Graces and the Glagolitic Hermitage Blaca Monastery. It is an excellent location for sports but it is most famous for its water sports as it has the perfect conditions for diving, swimming, and windsurfing. The island is known for having some of the best beaches in the world, and here tour members will have the opportunity to visit Brac Islands Zlanti Rat Beach. Also known as Golden Cape or Golden Horn, it is located 2 kilometers west of the town of Bol on the Adriatic Sea. It is the most magnificent natural beach on the Adriatic coast, mainly due to its 1000-meter-long triangle shape and bizarre weather conditions. The wind, waves, tide, and current from the sea move from side to side, changing the shape of the beach perimeters. This Blue Flag beach is not just admired by tourists, it is a symbol of Croatia. Our final destination for today on the north-west side of Brac Island is Milna. Known as the bay of a thousand ships, Milna has been a popular port for sailors since ancient times. Today, it is also a thriving tourist center and here tour members can visit historical sights, such as the Baroque church, admire its natural beauty and embrace its irresistible charm.

Today's adventure will lead us from Brac Island to Solta Island. Solta Island is one of Croatia's best kept secrets, despite being located in close proximity to the well known Split Island. The hilly island has many bays, sheltered coves and wonderful beaches to explore. Famous for the production of honey the island is covered in thriving vegetation and little villages all showcasing traditional Croatian life. Today's trip will conclude by visiting Solta Island, Stomorska which is the oldest out of all the coastal villages on the island. It was formerly known as a marine village and popular due to its success in maritime trade. Today the village has transformed into a well loved tourist area, where many restaurants, and bars can be found, all of which have an energetic and fun atmoshpere.

On the final day of the tour, we will travel from Solta Island to Trogir. Trogir is one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to wonderful natural coastlines, tropical palm trees, and many historical monuments. Here tour members can visit many wonderful sights such as the grand Cathedral of St. Lawrence, the terracotta-roofed Bell Tower, Kamerlengo Fortress and Cipiko Palaces, &nbsp;to name a few.&nbsp; Along with historical sites the Riva embankment in Trogir is a perfect place to enjoy a leisurely stroll, landscaped with evenly spaced palm trees.
