Popular Yacht Charter
Patitiri is the capital and main port on the southern side of the Greek island of Alonissos of the Northern Sporades Islands. The village's name translates to "wine press," deriving from the island's long-standing reputation for producing wine. The village was recently constructed following an earthquake in 1965 by residents who relocated from other areas of the island. A unique harmony is created by the buildings and homes incorporated into the hillside slopes, and the tourism infrastructure is respectful of the area's natural beauty. This tiny harbor is surrounded by amazingly clear emerald waters and rocky marble formations that are brightly lit at night. It has narrow, whitewashed alleyways and steps that give it a unique ambiance. The entire village is encircled by a dense, vibrant pine forest. For travelers who enjoy peace and calm in heavenly settings, it is the perfect location. The most popular time of year to visit is in July and August, when temperatures reach highs of 83°F (28°C).
Patitiri’s Waters and Beaches
Patitiri has a very picturesque, well-landscaped harbor with trees and flowers. The harbor is normally the first port of call for all visitors to the island. A well protected 30-berth marina with amenities is located inside the harbor walls. The area is fairly well protected from the Meltemi but it can sometimes by disturbed by incoming swells.
Located south of the main marina, Patitiri Beach has gray pebbly sand, so visitors may require sea shoes. The shallow crystal-clear waters are surrounded by a fragrant pine forest and tavernas create natural shade on the beach, giving relief from the hot sun’s rays. It is appropriate for all age groups with its gentle geography and minimal traffic. The water’s temperature has average highs of 78°F (25°C) during the summer months with moderate wind.
