Natural Beaches, Clear Adriatic Waters and Colorful Marine Life

On the first day of our journey, the tour will depart from Biograd na Moru. Biograd na Moru is a popular resort in the southernmost part of the Zadar region, home to many bays and beaches lining its coast. Also known as the white town by the sea, it has approximately 5,500 inhabitants. The most popular attraction here is the historic old town and wonderful waterfront promenade. Another attraction worth visiting is the Biograd Museum, which exhibits various items of interest from the local area. The most interesting is an exhibit of items found on a Venetian ship that sank off the coast in the 16th century. There are also several churches to explore, such as the 18th-century Church of St. Anastasia, the small Church of St. Rocco, and the remains of the medieval Church of St. Catherine.

Today's adventure will take us from Biograd na Moru to Zut Island. Before exploring this island in more detail, we will take a short stop at Zut Island’s Hiljaca Bay, where tour members can enjoy a refreshing morning swim in one of the most beautiful bays that surround the island. Zut Island is the second-largest island in the Kornati archipelago. There are no permanent settlements on the island, apart from several fishermen and farmers who have temporary houses here. The island is a natural paradise covered with Mediterranean vegetation such as olive groves and fig trees. The Kornati Islands are referred to by sailors as a nautical heaven and are popular due to their lovely marinas and crystal-clear waters that are perfect for water-based activities. When exploring the island, tour members can witness long stretches of old dry-stone walls. Although it is unknown why they are here, many believe it was to create clear borders between peasant estates or that the herding of sheep was much easier with sturdy walls. For our adventurous guests, hiking to the 155-meter-tall peak of Zut Island is a favorite activity, and at the top, a glorious sight of the Kornati Archipelago can be seen.

Today's adventure will guide us from Zut Island to Dugi Otok. Dugi Otok, is known for its relaxing ambiance, vineyards, and orchards. Here, the spectacular Saharun Beach can also be found. Often referred to as having Caribbean characteristics, this beach has a breathtaking combination of white sand and crystal-clear waters, surrounded by scented pine trees, making it perfect for those looking for a chilled-out morning. Continuing on with our tour, we will visit Dugi Otok's Sali. This lovely area is the largest settlement on the island, which stretches over two bays. Tour members can find facilities such as a doctor's office, a post office, a cash machine, several shops, and a reading room where visitors can borrow a wide variety of books in several different languages. Showcasing its impressive thousand-year-old olive groves, this region represents a unique ecological area. The cultural heritage of Sali can be seen within sacred buildings such as the parish church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, as well as the churches of St. Roch and St. Nicholas. Our final stop for today will take us to Telascica Bay (Telascica Natural Park) on the southern part of Dugi Otok. It is referred to by many as one of the safest, most beautiful, and largest natural ports in the Adriatic. This bay is well known for its coves, several small islands, and magnificent cliffs, all of which lie on a 69-kilometer indented coastline. Over 400 plant species, as well as numerous rare and endemic plants, have been found on the land over the years. Along with a fascinating underwater world of 250 plants and 300 animal organisms, including the endangered red coral and the carnivorous sponge. Other animals that you may see include crabs, sea urchins, small and larger fish varieties, falcons, and sometimes even dolphins.

Today's journey will lead us from Dugi Otok to Pag. Pag Island is full of moonscape-like landscapes, wonderful beaches, delicious cuisine, a vibrant nightlife scene, and endless outdoor activities. It is famous globally for its production of cheese, wines, and olive oils. Moreso, it is the origin of pagan lace, a centuries-old tradition started by the Benedictine nuns of the St. Margaret convent. Some attractions worth visiting here include the Lace Gallery, the Church of St. Mary, and various museums and galleries. As for its beaches, there are several stunning shores to enjoy, with Zrce Beach being the most popular. Moving away from the crowds, we will visit Pag Island’s Simuni. This fishing village is best described as a place where time stands still. It is an ideal location for those who enjoy complete relaxation, pebbled beaches, traditional cuisine, and home-grown produce. When exploring this charming village, be sure to taste the world-famous Pag cheese (Paski sir), which is one of Croatia's most famous gastro products and can be paired perfectly with locally made wines.

Today we will travel from Pag to Olib Island. Firstly, we will visit Silba Island. There is only one settlement on the island, which is also called Silba. This car-free island portrays elegance and features old captain's houses that tell stories of the island's rich heritage. The town is full of lovely courtyards, high walls, and religious churches, making it a hotspot for those looking for a charming destination. Although there are no historical monuments to explore, tour members can witness the tower of Toreta, also known as the tower of love, that rises from the center of the island. Other attractions include the local committee building and library and the Gallery of Marija Ujevic-Galetovic, which is an open-air art gallery of a local artist. As for beaches, there are numerous coves and beaches to discover, with the most popular being the main public beach of Sutorisce. The final stop for today will be Olib Island, which is home to lush vegetation and an abundance of creatures, such as pheasants and rabbits. It showcases beautiful sandy lagoons, hidden coves, and irresistible Adriatic charm. The largest bay and port, which is also called Olib, is situated on the western part of the island and is the only village settlement. This entire car free island is surrounded by several hidden bays with shallow waters that are perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and diving. Port Olib, also known as the Port of Galib, is located near the main town on the west side of Olib Island in a wide bay. Within walking distance of the port, members can find cafes, bars, and restaurants.

Today's journey will guide us from Olib Island to Susak Island. Susak Island is a small island situated in Kvarner Bay. It has not been affected by mass tourism, and with an area of 4 square kilometers and a permanent population of approximately 150 people, it showcases traditional values and village life. As the island is car-free, the best way to explore is on foot, a tour of the whole island can be completed within a few hours. There are a few sights to visit while exploring, such as the 18th-century St. Nicholas Church, a lighthouse that can be found at the highest point of the island, and an abandoned military outpost from the 20th century. As for beaches, the most popular include Spiaza on the north of the island, which is home to soft sand and very shallow waters, and Bok Beach. Amenities are limited here, there are a few traditional taverns and a post office, but please be aware that there are no banks or cash machines; only cash is accepted.

Today we will sail from Susak Island to Losinj Island. Losinj Island is situated in the Kvarner Gulf. It is a popular destination for holidaymakers due to its wonderful natural reserves, rich historical sites, and fabulous beaches. The island is formed from dolomite rocks and chalk limestone. Along with over 1100 plant species, 230 medical herbs, and exotic plants including banana, lemon, and eucalyptus. Tour members can find several attractions, such as the Museum of Apoxyomenos, which is dedicated to one fantastic exhibit. The bronze statue of an athlete that was discovered underwater by a Belgian tourist is an impressive piece of art, representing the story of an athlete of perfect physical proportions. Another interesting attraction is the Losinj Aromatic Garden. This beautiful garden is full of scents and smells from over 250 wild plants. Tour members can also admire unique garden decor and a warm and welcoming restaurant that produces homemade food and drinks. To conclude our tour for today, we will visit Losinj Island’s Mali Losinj, which is the largest settlement on the island, where tour participants can visit monasteries, churches, ancient ruins, and Renaissance buildings. After a long day of exploring, there are a variety of taverns with live music, vibrant beach bars, nightclubs, and cozy bars to enjoy.

Today we will travel from Losinj Island to Vir. Vir is part of the Zadar archipelago and is connected to the mainland of the Zadar region by a 300-meter-long bridge. Along its 32-kilometer-long coastline, rugged cliffs, pebble bays, green pine forests, and spectacular red rock formations can all be seen. The most popular sights here include the chapel Sv. Juraj, the Venetian fortress Kastelina, and the lighthouse Lanterna. Within the villages of Vir, Lozice, and Torovi, tour members can find a good selection of restaurants, bars, bakeries, and small supermarkets, as well as information about hiking routes leading through the island's picturesque natural landscapes. As for its beaches there are approximately 30 dotted around the island; some of the most popular include Beach Jadro, Zitna, and Duboka Draga, to name a few.

The tour for today will lead us from Vir to Zadar. &nbsp;Zadar is a historic town home to many Roman ruins, medieval churches, and wonderful museums. Tour members will have the opportunity to visit the Zadar Roman Forum, believed to have been constructed between the 1st century BC and the 3rd century AD. It was once the heart of religious life, with the Church of St. Donat dominating one side. Tour members can witness the ruins of temples, a Roman column, altars, and hollows that were used during sacrificial deaths. Other places and attractions worth visiting include Zadar Old Town, where Croatian history and modern creations can be seen on every corner. On the western corner of the peninsula, Zadar's outstanding Sea Organ can be found. Created by a local architect, this experimental musical attraction is situated under marble stairs that go down into the sea. It has a system of pipes and whistles that create sounds from the sea's waves and air pressure. The architect also created a wonderful spot to watch the sun go down. The Greeting to the Sun is one of Zadar's most popular attractions. The 22-meter-wide circle lies on the pavement, filled with 300 multilayered glass plates that collect the sun’s energy during the day, producing a magical light show at sunset, fulfilling the aim of simulating the solar system.

On the final day of the tour, we will travel from Zadar to Biograd na Moru and explore Biograd na Moru in more detail. Biograd na Moru is an extremely popular holiday destination and the most indented part of the Croatian coast, which is perfect for Blue Cruise tours. Along with its fabulous marina, there are many wonderful beaches to enjoy. The most popular of which are the sandy beaches of Soline and Crvena Luka and the pebbly beaches of Drazica and Bosana. For those who enjoy an adrenaline rush, the Dalmaland Biograd is one of the most popular attractions within the resort. This great amusement park has many exciting rides to enjoy, such as the Big Blue roller coaster, the fast-paced Tornado, and the Adriatic Eye Ferris wheel. As for nightlife there are many locations to choose from, such as relaxing cocktail bars to more livelier establishments with evening entertainment.
