The Fethiye Blue Cruise is an adventure combining scenic beauty, interesting swimming and snorkeling spots, along with many ancient legends to uncover.

History, Scenic Beauty and Crystal-Clear Waters of Fethiye

Fethiye is located in a picturesque bay at the foot of the mountains enclosed by green pine and cedar forests. This beautiful holiday resort has an extremely well developed tourist infrastructure and there are many things to do within the port city. The tour will depart from Fethiye at 4:00 pm. Members can immerse in Turkish culture while enjoying nature, fresh air and wonderful views. We will then head towards Butterfly Valley &nbsp;which is one of the most attractive places within the area. In 1995 it was declared as a nature reserve, gaining its name from the extraordinary tiger butterfly. Nearly all species of butterflies that inhabit the coast of the Mediterranean Sea can be found here. The next part of our journey will guide us to the Blue Lagoon, which is part of Oludeniz Beach Resort. It is a &nbsp;peaceful place, where many different shades of blue and green can be seen. Tour members can enjoy an afternoon of paddling barefoot along the sandy shoreline or swimming across to the small island at the mouth of the lagoon. Our final stop for today will be St Nicholas Island also known as Gemiler Island. The name of the island was given when researchers uncovered an early Christian pilgrimage center, which housed the remains of St Nicholas. Within this island five churches, and forty religious buildings, can be seen all of which date back to the 4th and the 6th century.

Today will be a day of complete relaxation where we will visit Cleopatra Baths. Historical ruins lie beside the sunken baths, and tour members can experience swimming amongst the ruins that lie beneath the water and also explore the ruins on the land. According to legends, when the Egyptian Queen Cleopatra visited the Mediterranean shores, Marc Anthony decided to give her this bath as a gift. There is a hot water source in this bay, which is said to be good for skin health along with soft golden sands that were said to have been imported all the way from Egypt.

Bedri Rahmi Bay will be our first destination today. The bay showcases natural beauty such as lush pine-tree scenery and crystal clear waters. It gained its name after the famous painter Bedri Rahmi, carved a picture on a large rock in the shape of a fish. There are also six hidden animals to uncover within the artwork. We will then sail to Yassica Islands, where five beautiful islands can be seen. There are historical ruins to explore and guests can enjoy a pleasant afternoon swimming between the islands with the closest two being 12 meters apart. One of the islands is called Devil’s Island, it is believed that the devil chose this as his home when he was denied entry to heaven. Our final stop for today is Tersane Island, this beautiful triangular shaped island is also home to three spectacular bays. The area is believed to have been used as a shipbuilding and repair harbor, which provides a great opportunity for snorkeling and exploring beneath the pristine waters. The island also has some ancient ruins of a settlement called Telandria.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Gocek at 9:00 am. The ancient harbor within this small town was once used to load ships with chrome ore that had been collected from mines during the Ottoman Period. Gocek is home to luxurious marinas, shops, restaurants, cafés, and bars. We will continue by sailing to Kizil Island which attracts many visitors due to its unique sunrises and sunsets and tranquil surroundings. There is a lighthouse, situated on the southern point of the island along with many recreational activities to enjoy. Our final stop on our journey will be Fethiye where tour members can explore many attractions and shops along with discovering natural beaches such as Help Beach and Fethiye Beach.
