Fascinating History, Clear Waters, Beauty and Evenings of Fun

Fethiye is a well loved holiday destination with spectacular scenery. The tour will depart from Fethiye at 4:00 pm. Forestested mountains, spectacular beaches and bays, and clear turquoise waters can be seen. &nbsp;It is one of the most popular cruise ports within Turkey and is home to many traditional shopping locations, cultural destinations, ancient ruins, bars and eateries. Our first stop will invite our tour members to discover some of the region's history. Amyntas King Tombs is a fantastic location where numerous rock tombs that have been carved into the southern hills of Fethiye, can be seen. The most famous one being Amyntas son of Hermagios which is one of most spectacular tombs within Turkey. Continuing on with historical sites we will then visit the Fethiye Museum which exhibits artifacts that were evacuated during the Ottoman Period. Many ancient ceramic pieces along with unique artifacts from the Lyrican period including inscriptions and monuments and religious pieces can be seen. We will then enjoy some pampering at Fethiye Turkish Bath, this authentic haman has a steam room, a jacuzzi and different types of massages are also available. We will finish off the day at the picturesque Samanlik Bay, located 3 kilometers outside of Fethiye, which is the perfect stop to relax, swim, and snorkel after a day of exploring.

Butterfly Valley is first on the agenda for today. Named after the 100 species of butterflies and moths, including the black, orange and white Jersey Tiger moth native to the area, many of which can be spotted deep in the valley. Our next destination for today is the Blue Lagoon, famous for its ever changing shades of turquoise and azure, and soft sands. Tour members can paddle barefoot along the shoreline or swim across to the tiny island at the mouth of the lagoon. We will then visit Kayakoy, known as Karmylassos in ancient times; the historic ruins that can be seen today date back to the 3rd millennium BC. Our journey will continue to St Nicholas Island also known as Gemiler Island. This tiny island is scattered with the remains of five churches, and approximately forty other religious buildings, all dating between the fourth and the sixth century.

Our first stop for today is Firnaz, also known as Yesilkoy or Aquarium Bay. The bay resembles an aquarium with its clear waters and abundance of marine life. As it is a protected area, the bay showcases peace, tranquility and moments alone with nature. It is famous for its natural mud, which holds many minerals that are believed to rejuvenate, heal and beautify the skin. We will then visit Kaputas Beach which is known for its bright turquoise sea and pebbled textures. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches on the Lycian Coast, and also one of the most beautiful within Turkey. The water temperature is much lower here due to the fresh water spring that flows beneath the sea. Hidayet Bay is next on the agenda, where tour members will have the pleasure of swimming in the deep blue, cool waters surrounded by large cliffs and olive trees. Our final stop for today will be Limanagzi Bay &nbsp;where the magnificent water has a color palette unlike anywhere else in the region, perfect for a relaxing evening after a day of adventure.

We will start our day by visiting Guvercin Island. Many visitors describe the island as a rock in the ocean. The surrounding water clarity is almost glass like and the water is very deep. Many tourists travel to the island to admire the marble sculpture of a shark that sits on the sea bed. Inonu Bay is our next stop, this long narrow bay is very secluded and was once a well loved hideout for the Berber pirates of the 17th and 18th century. The waters here are also deep and full of marine life. If we are lucky enough we may see turtles and sometimes even dolphins. The Ancient City of Aperlai will be our next stop. The ancient Lycian city was once known for royal purple dye, produced by crushing mollusk shells and then traded all over the world. The area guarantees uninterrupted serenity and there are also ancient ruins to explore. We will then guide our members to see part of the Aperlai Lycian Way which is a famous walking trail that can take up to 45 days to complete. For the final stop on today's tour we will visit &nbsp;Salyangoz Bay, also referred to as Karaloz Bay. It is only accessible by boat and offers visitors an abundance of beauty to admire. This bay charms its guests with pristine glass like waters, rocky cliffs, and breathtaking scenery.

Today will be a day of exploring and refreshing swimming spots. We will start our day in the town of Kumluca, which is located 90 kilometers west of the city of Antalya and lies on the Teke Peninsula. Kumluca is known for its sandy soil that is good for growing watermelons and its spectacular scenery. We will then head to the popular location of Olympos to explore Olympos Ancient City, where historic ruins from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods have survived to the present day. Tour members can explore the site and delve into its history. Our evening will be spent at Mount Chimaera (Yanartas) once referred to as Khimera in ancient times. At this fascinating site there are many things to enjoy, including a 5th Century church, the beautiful views of the valley, and the Cirali coast along with a spectacular volcanic field. The interesting location has a permanent burning fire caused by methane emissions. The once very powerful flames are created by cracks in a natural gas reservoir, which is a result of an earthquake.

Antalya is a popular tourist city with a yacht-filled Old Harbor, beaches, a vibrant nightlife scene and historical sites. It is the fifth most popular city in the country and the gateway to Turkey's southern Mediterranean region. Kaleici is the historic city center of Antalya, and is our next stop for today. It showcases buildings and architecture dating from the Roman, Byzantine, Seljuk, Ottoman and modern Turkish Republican eras. While some of the traditional Turkish homes are occupied by residents, many have been converted into boutique hotels, restaurants and shops selling hand crafted products and art. We will then visit the Perge Ancient City which contains some of the most spectacular Hellenistic and Roman Ruins in Turkey. A well-preserved theater, the most well-preserved Roman Stadium in Western Turkey, Roman Baths, Hellenistic Defenses, and long rows of beautiful colonnaded streets can be seen. The next location that we will visit is the Aspendos Ancient City which is home to the best-preserved Roman theater in Turkey. Continuing on we will visit the Antalya Archeology Museum. It is one of the largest within Turkey and showcases history from Lycia, Pamphylia, and Pisidia which were the three largest ancient regions. The museum has 2 floors and 14 exhibition halls, where many historic pieces, sculptures and artifacts can be discovered. Antalya Turkish Bath is our final stop for today, it is a traditional Turkish Haman made out of stone, which creates comfortable and warm temperatures to enjoy. All of the rooms within the Hamam have been carefully constructed to provide visitors with an ancient tradition and new experiences.

Kemer seaside resort will be on our agenda for today. It lies on a 46 kilometer stretch of beautiful coastline with many historical sites, spectacular beaches and bays to enjoy. Within the lively tourist resort many entertainment venues including water parks, theme parks bars and restaurants can be found. Tour members can also find many outdoor activities and a range of watersports. The beaches are golden with sandy textures, the water is crystal clear and the forested mountains provide a picturesque setting. Tour members can also find leisurely activities such as sightseeing and shopping.

Today's tour will start in Kemer, and we will then be traveling approximately 16 kilometers south to our final destination of Phaselis, which is situated between the Bey Mountains and the forests of Olympos National Park. Firstly we will enjoy the wonderful sights of the wide bay of Porto Ceneviz, where rocks rise out of the sea, giving the bay a protected feel. The sea here is calm, and the waters are warm, perfect for a relaxing swim. We will then head to Phaselis, which showcases the perfect combination of history and nature. Tour members can see Greek and Roman ruins and also admire the beautiful surroundings. Continuing on with our journey we will visit Phaselis Ancient City. It is believed to have been founded by Rhodesian colonists and is classed as one of the most important cities of the Lycian League. The area is home to well preserved Roman ruins, along with many other remains, such as protection walls, Hadrian's Arch, Roman baths, mosaics, and a theater.

The tour will guide us to Adrasan, also known as Cavus Bay. The bay lies within the 2.5-kilometer stretch of coastline where there are many sandy and shingle beaches to enjoy and villages to explore. We will then visit Finike which was formerly known as Phoenicu. It is home to a modern marina, historical ruins, orange orchards, beaches and loggerhead turtles. We will finish off the day at Limyra Ancient City which is approximately 25 kilometers away from Finike. The ancient city lies on a 1216 meter high hill and is an important location due to its geographical position and fertile soil. Archaeological digs have been conducted here since the 1970’s which has brought a lot of insights to the different civilizations that once occupied the area. Many ruins can be seen today such as the castle, the city wall, the cistern and the Byzantine Church, rock tombs and an acropolis.

Demre is named after the river Demre and is known as the Lycian town of Myra. It is a town and district within the Antalya Province, where members can explore many historical sites such as tombs, a Roman theater, churches and other remains of The Ancient City of Myra. Within this area the Lycian Civilization Museum and the Andriake Ruins can also be seen. At these locations, historical ruins, and artifacts found during the excavations of ancient cities of the Lycian League can be explored. The next stop for today will be the magnificent Blue Cave, gaining its name from the dazzling blue hue of the water. Tour members can swim through the low entrance in the cliff face and marvel at the sapphire stone walls as the sunlight bounces off the sea filling the cave with a spectacular blue light. We will then head to Gokkaya Bay, popular with Blue Cruise boats as its historical, cultural, and natural beauties all intertwine. The sea is cool here as there are cold-water springs, perfect for a refreshing swim on a hot summer's day. Continuing on with our day of historical sightseeing we will visit Istlada Ancient City. It is one of the most impressive smaller cities of Lycia with fascinating tombs. We will spend the evening at Smugglers Inn bar, restaurant and nightclub. &nbsp;It is a well loved destination and often referred to by many as Smugglers Bay, Pirate Island or Smugglers Cove. Tour members can expect a fun, exciting and adventurous evening. Smugglers Cove was once used as a secret hideout for smugglers and pirates during bad weather. It provided shelter and a place to rest, today it is a fabulous destination for a long night of partying.

Kekova is a natural wonder that intrigues guests with its sarcophagi, rock tombs and variety of bays. The Sunken City can be seen within this area which is submerged under water due to devastating earthquakes. Sarcophagi and rock tombs bearing traces of the Hellenistic and Roman periods can also be found. Our journey will then guide us to Simena where Simena Castle also known as Kalekoy can be explored. We will then sail to Teimussa Ancient City which is located within Ucagiz Village. During ancient times it was a Greek fishing village however it is now a famous holiday destination, with much of its unique charm coming from its surrounding historical ruins, olive farms, and fishermen’s houses. Kocakari Bay, is our final sport for today, which is home to clear blue water and is the perfect location for swimming, snorkeling or diving. Beneath the water tour members can find spectacular coral reefs and colorful sponges. Many types of sea creatures can also be found in this area including octopus, starfish and sea urchins.

Our day will start by visiting Ufakdere Bay where tour members can relax in a tranquil area surrounded by natural beauty and calm waters. We will then explore one of the most famous places for Diving, in Kas. Many novice and experienced divers visit the region due to the history, the presence of loggerhead turtles, photo oppurtunities, shipwrecks, marine life and in total 21 diving spots can be found. We will then explore Kas, &nbsp;the seaside town on the Mediterranean coast in southwestern Turkey is well known for its whitewashed houses, winding mountain roads, beautiful beaches and magnificent harbor. Tour members can find many things to do and see here. We will then move on to Kas Archaeopark Site which is one of the most important diving spots in the area, home to an abundance of biological diversity and an artificial wreck. Antiphellos Ancient City will be next on the agenda for today. It is one of the oldest settlements in the Lycian Region where many ruins can be seen such as a temple, church and an ancient theater. We will travel past Kas Lycian Rock Tombs where several Lycian rock tombs carved in the mountain wall can be seen. The last site that we will explore before enjoying a relaxing evening is Kyaenai Ancient City. Kyaenai meaning ringing rocks, is built on steep cliffs which are approximately 240 meters high, and is one of the most important mountain cities of the Lycian period. Ruins such as a theater, necropolis and many sarcophagi can be seen. Our final stop for today is Limanagzi Bay. The magnificent water has a color palette unlike anywhere else in the region and is the perfect place to relax after a day of adventure.

The tour for today will start by exploring Kalkan, a historic town and one of the most beautiful locations along Turkey’s Lycian Coast. It is a charming and unspoiled haven of lush nature, shimmering blue crystal-clear waters, historic architecture, ancient history and traditional Turkish hospitality. We will then explore the land of Lycia and visit Patara, also known as Xanthos which was once the center of culture and commerce during Lyrican times. At this Unesco's World Heritage site many historical ruins can be found. Letoon Ancient City which was one of the most important religious centers in the region can also be seen. Our next stop is the Saklikent Gorge Tour where the longest, most famous, and deepest gorge within Turkey can be explored.

Today will start with a visit to a spectacular valley, where we hope to see some native butterflies and moths. Butterfly Valley is visited regularly by nature lovers, in hope of spotting some of these colorful creatures. We will then visit Soguk Su Bay, also known as Cold Spring Bay, it is a picturesque bay with a natural water spring beneath the sea bed. This area is well loved during the hot summer months due to the cool and refreshing temperature of the sea water. Boncuklu Bay will be our final stop for today, which is divided into 2 areas; Big Boncuklu Bay and Small Boncuklu Bay. Located approximately 4 kilometers away from the center of Fethiye and has been named one of the top 10 cleanest areas within Turkey. The area is sheltered and full of marine life to admire. Visitors can also explore the surrounding forest area or sit back and view the fantastic sunset.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Fethiye at 9:00 am. The tour will guide us through the sites of the wonderful port city. The well-known tourist destination is very popular during the hot summer months, welcoming international and domestic tourism especially from April through to October. Tour members can explore many areas such as the Old Town and sites such as Rock Tombs and other historical locations. The beautiful natural beaches of Help Beach and Fethiye Beach can also be enjoyed along with many cafes, restaurants, and markets where souvenirs and culinary delights can be purchased.
