Crystal-Clear Sailing Waters, and Stunning Greek Islands

Fethiye is a fabulous port city, attracting many holiday makers during the hot summer months, well known for its natural harbor, clear blue turquoise sea water and historic rock tombs. It is located within the Mugla Province, on Turkey's southwestern Turquoise Coast and there are many things to do and see in this part of Turkey. The region has a long history, and thanks to previous civilizations it has accomplished a successful growth in its economy and tourism since ancient times. After exploring we will spend the evening at the very well-loved Aga Harbour. This eye catching port area is divided into two parts and is perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Here, there are fresh water springs beneath the sea, and the water temperature is cooler than other bay areas within the area. Along with admiring the natural scenery and enjoying a revitalizing swim, it is also possible to take a short hike to find some interesting Byzantine and Roman ruins nearby.

We will now sail to Rhodes Island which has a lengthy and impressive history, and a rough past full of unexpected situations. Here, many historic buildings, archaeological sites and medieval monuments can be seen. Rhodes Old Town, which is the heart of the island can also be explored. The UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built by the Knights of St John and is said to be the birthplace of the city. It is home to many interesting attractions, such as the Rhodes Grand Master Palace and a medieval castle that portrays rare examples of Gothic architecture. The Byzantine Church of St. Spyridon can also be seen, which is constructed out of limestone and dates back to the 18th century along with Rhodes Suleymaniye Mosque that was originally built after the Ottoman conquest of Rhodes in 1522.

Today we will visit a quaint town and lovely bay area on the southern end of Symi Island. Here we will find Panormitis Bay. It is a large natural picturesque harbor, with calm waters, a tranquil atmosphere and is described by many as having the same characteristics of a lake. This area is also home to the Monastery of Archangel Michael of Panormitis and several maritime museums.

Our tour will now take us to St George Bay, also known as Agios Georgios Beach or Dysalonas Beach. Only accessible by boat, here we will enjoy a relaxing day where the magic of nature and beauty have created a spectacular environment with blue seas and green vegetation. The beach within the bay is renowned as one of Greece’s most stunning beaches, featuring an eye-catching rocky backdrop which rises 300 meters high. The natural wonder has breathtaking views for all visitors to enjoy and provides the perfect place to swim in crystal-clear waters.

The tour for today will guide us to Nanou Bay. It is a large area backed by high cliffs, with perfect waters that are marvelous for snorkeling and swimming. The beach itself is made up of medium- to large-sized pebbles and there are plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas avaliable along with a taverna serving food and beverages. We will then head to Symi Island. Known for its beaches, charming harbor, and the popular Symi Town, all surrounded by colorful neoclassical houses. Located close to Rhodes Island, and a few miles away from the Turkish mainland, there are many things to do and see. Tour members can walk around the old town to admire architecture and the picturesque main harbor, visit ancient ruins and museums and relax on fabulous beaches. There are also many restaurants, bars and small souvenir shops that can be found.

Today we will visit the historic Kos Island, it is the second most visited island of Dodecanese and is known for its ancient history, fabulous beaches, and lush vegetation. The island's history dates back over 5,000 years and many traces from the Ancient Greeks, the Romans, the Venetians, the medieval Knights, and the Ottomans can be seen. Popular sites on the Island include the ancient Asklepieion holistic healing center, &nbsp;Neratzia medieval castle, the ancient Greek Agora, and Antimachia Castle. The Island has many fantastic beaches to discover with a range of different atmospheres, landscapes and facilities. Some of the more popular beach locations include Kardamena Beach, Tigaki Beach, Mastichari Beach, Marmari Beach, and Kefalos Beach.

Today we will arrive in Bodrum which is one of thirteen districts within Mugla and is known for being an important tourism center due to its many charming characteristics. This affluent tourism center has lots to see and lots to explore. Tour participants can discover popular historical attractions such as the Bodrum Castle and the Underwater Archeology Museum, along with cultural hotspots, luxurious shopping centers, fabulous beaches, and many bars, cafes, and restaurants.

On the agenda for today is Karaada Island. The small Turkish Island lies at the entrance to the harbor of Bodrum and the magnificent Aegean Sea. It is a favored place to stop during the summer season especially with boaters and yachtsmen as there is plenty to do and see. At this location there is a cave which contains a hot water spring and it is believed that the mud and thermal water here are very good for skin diseases.

The tour will then lead us to Knidos Harbor, a beautiful natural harbor that was once occupied by the ancient Greeks and served as a trading hub during the Roman and Byzantine periods. The site includes a temple to the goddess Aphrodite, and a 4th-century B.C. sundial. It has amazing scenery of the remains of ancient Greek ruins, including an amphitheater that is situated next to the bay. We will continue on with our historical journey, which will guide us to The Ancient City of Knidos, the 2,600-year-old rare historical gem is often referred to as the "gate of the Aegean." Tour members can witness magnificent structures, a port street lined with columns, an agora, two ancient theaters, and two ancient ports. Our final location for today is &nbsp;Palamutbuku Beach, which lies in a heavenly corner of Turkey, 25 kilometers from Datca. The beach is known for its long, pebbled coastline and pristine waters. Described as a garden of Eden with its unique green and blue color tones, it is the perfect destination for tour members to go swimming and snorkeling along with enjoying the assortment of beautiful tea gardens and restaurants.

We will start our day by enjoying the wonderful sights of the port town of Datca, situated on the narrow Datca Peninsula on the Aegean Sea. Here we will discover many attractions, such as an old neighborhood with stone roads and bougainvillea-covered walls, along with quaint cafes, restaurants and a lovely beach.

The day will start with a visit to Serce Port, surrounded by steep rocks and cool, clean waters, perfect for a refreshing swim. Glass objects were once excavated from an 11th-century Byzantine wreck in this area and they are now on display in the Bodrum museum. We will then explore Bozukkale. Located on a remote stretch of coastline on the southern tip of the Bozburun peninsula. Here lies the remains of an ancient castle believed to have been constructed around 700 BC. This fortress was home to a navy base, who was given the task to prevent enemies gathering within the natural harbor. The castle and its grounds were once 334 meters long, 36 meters wide and hand built with stone block walls that were more than 2 meters thick. Many lookout towers were once also present at this site allowing soldiers to see ships approaching from afar. Some restorations have taken place here, although it is clear to see the time and level of craftsmanship that was put into creating this fortress. Today along with its ruins, the area is a popular anchorage site due to its peaceful and sheltered environment and clear water clarity.

Today we will visit Ekincik Bay, which is located on the north shore of Port Koycegiz between the well known tourist resorts of Marmaris and Dalyan. This quiet and peaceful area is home to Iztuzu Beach which has shallow waters and wooden slopes that surround the bay. It is one of the prettiest and most picturesque areas within the region. Tour members can enjoy a peaceful day of sunbathing on the spectacular beach whilst swimming or snorkeling in the refreshing crystal clear waters.

Our journey today will start by visiting Cleopatra Baths, where tour members can experience swimming through the ruins that lie beneath the water and explore historic ruins on the land. According to legends Marc Anthony built a Roman Bath at this spot for Cleopatra as a wedding gift and golden sands were imported to the location all the way from Egypt. We will then visit Bedri Rahmi Bay, which portrays natural beauty and an important historical significance. Tour members can admire the area's vegetated pine tree scenery and enjoy a revitalizing swim in the crystal clear waters. The bay gained its name after a famous painter Bedri Rahmi, visited the bay in 1974. He carved a picture on a large rock in the shape of a fish, his piece of art is also a puzzle and there are six other hidden animals to uncover.

The 12 Islands of Gocek tour is one of the most delightful trips. Tour members will witness magnificent views of Fethiye along with spectacular bays and islands. We will then visit the small town of Gocek and natural harbor on the edge of the turquoise coast. It overlooks many islands and bays and is a well loved sailing area during the summer months. It is home to beautiful scenery, along with many cultural and entertainment venues. Our final stop for today is Yassica Islands which features pine and olive trees at their finest. The islands are uninhabited with many small beaches. Several of the islands are situated very close together, and swimming between them is enjoyed by many visitors.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Fethiye at 9:00 am. The tour will guide us through this popular port city. The well-known tourist destination is very popular during the hot summer months, welcoming international and domestic tourism especially from April through to October. Tour members can expect to find many areas such as the Old Town and sites such as Rock Tombs and other historical attractions. The beautiful natural beaches of Help Beach and Fethiye Beach can also be enjoyed along with many cafes, restaurants, and markets where souvenirs and culinary delights can be purchased.
