Thrilling Caves to Natural Historical Gems in Greece and Turkey

The port city of Marmaris is a popular holiday destination, welcoming international and local tourism during the summer months. The tour will depart at 4:00 pm from Marmaris with our first stop being Marmaris Castle and Archaeology Museum. The Castle offers breathtaking views overlooking Marmaris and the museum has seven indoor areas consisting of archaeological antiques, ethnography and art galleries. The tour will then guide us to Hafsa Sultan Caravanserai, an Ottoman-era settlement that was previously used by soldiers and travellers to recuperate, it is now privately owned and is home to several cafes and souvenir shops. From there, the tour leads us to Asar Hill where the ruins of Physkos’ old city walls, dating back to the Hellenistic period can be seen.

Serce Port is a sheltered harbour with abandoned villages. It is situated on a sandy and pebbled coast with steep rocky cliffs. The port leads out into crystal-clear waters that have a plethora of sealife. The Serce Port Byzantine Shipwreck from the 11th century was once extracted from this very port and is now exhibited in the Bodrum Museum of Underwater Archaeology. The tour will continue to the bay of Bozukkale where the Athenian navy used to reside. On its hill lies ruins from the Loryma Ancient City, which has dramatic views that capture the ruins of a former castle.

The day will start at the tranquil cape of Bozburun known for its exceptional coves, magnificent beaches, pristine seas, ancient ruins and hiking tracks. The tour will to continue Dirsekbuku, a sheltered bay known for its sponge trading and yacht building. The bay has crystal-clear waters that are perfect for swimming and snorkelling. Emel Sayin Bay, also known as Bencik Bay, has beautiful turquoise waters surrounded by scented pine trees. Full of untouched beauty, a sandy beach and reefs to explore.

The first stop for today will be the award winning Aktur Bay given for its natural beauty and fresh air. The bay has a unique part of land that divides the sea into two, with long sandy beaches that are surrounded by pine trees. The tour will then proceed to the port town of Datca where the Aegean and Mediterranean Seas meet. What was once a small harbour is today a popular tourist town. Beautiful streets, shopping opportunities, entertaining places and locally produced olives and wine can all be found. Datca also has many beautiful beaches and bays, perfect for snorkelling, swimming, and simply relaxing on its sandy shores.

The Greek Symi Island, is named after the nymph Symi. It is believed that Zeus placed her on this island to safely direct sailors through its rocky terrain. It is known for its natural beauty, elegant villages, colourful and cultured architectural buildings, museums and historical landmarks. Scattered around the island are many beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, water caves and secluded bays that are worth exploring.

Rhodes Island, is the ninth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea. Known for its cosmopolitan atmosphere, spectacular beaches, ancient ruins, delicious food and wine-making traditions. In the village of Lindos, lies Lindos Acropolis, an archaeological site with remains of a fortress wall and ruins of the goddess Athena's temple. Our final stop for today will be Kamiros Ancient City, another archaeological site with ruins split over three levels, where the temple of goddess Athena Kameiras, a stoa, doric columns and a temple dedicated to Apollo can be seen.

Cennet Island is a heavenly island that is covered in pine trees and surrounded by the clearest water that one could ever imagine. It &nbsp;is famous for its fake Strait to the mainland, spectacular beaches and coves that are perfect for relaxing and swimming. The island also has thrilling water caves with stalactites and stalagmites that offer the most beautiful blue and green hued colours. The tour will then continue to Marmaris where tour members can explore the port city and experience its breathtaking sunset backdrop before sampling the vibrant nightlife along the waterfront.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Marmaris at 9:00 am. Marmaris &nbsp;port city is the heart and soul of summer tourism, both during the day and at night. On its cobbled streets there are many bazaars, shops, a popular pebbled beach, and ancient ruins to explore. The long seafront promenade is perfect for walking, cycyling and discovering the areas cafes and restaurants, many of which offer panoramic views of its azure coloured waters. For tour members who would like to explore the area's nightlife, bars and nightclubs can be found on Kordon Street, Barbaros Street and the Marmaris Promenade.
