Ancient Ruins and Natural Wonders and Crystal-Clear Waters

Mykonos Island is famous for its fun activities and authentic architecture. It is full of whitewashed houses, blue-domed churches and traditional windmills. &nbsp;The tour will depart at 4:00 pm from Mykonos Island. There are many things to see, do and experience such as watching the incredible sunsets, soaking up the area's traditions and dancing the night away at one of the many exciting beach parties. The main town is known as the entertainment capital of the island where tour members can experience venues such as designer shopping boutiques, lovely bars, and high energy clubs. For relaxation the island also has many types of beaches from crowded to secluded and pebbled to sandy, all of which boast deep clear blue waters.

Today we will travel from Mykonos Island to Delos Island. Delos Island is the birthplace of Apollo and a significant piece of the area's cultural heritage. At this fascinating outdoor museum tour members can admire the temple dedicated to the goddess of sailors, discover the ancient theater that once seated 5,000 spectators and learn many about the mythology and legends belonging to the island.

We will then continue on from Delos Island to Paros Island. Paros Island lies at the center of the Cyclades island group. Traditional features, Cycladic architecture, spectacular beaches, historical monuments, quaint villages and a beautiful 120 kilometer long coastline can all be seen. Many restaurants, bars, and traditional taverns can also be found but the star of this island is its magical beaches. To conclude our tour we will take a trip to Antiparos which is located right next to Paros Island. Antiparos has a cosmopolitan character however the location is not as busy as its neighboring islands. Like many of the Greek islands it is famous for its sandy beaches and perfect swimming conditions. On the right hand side of the island there is an impressive cave to explore. Within the capital many restaurants, bars and taverns can be found along with charming features such as traditional architecture and a Venetian castle and fortress.

Today's tour will guide us from Paros Island to Ios Island. Ios Island which is one of the most popular holiday destinations within Greece and attracts many tourists during the summer months. Many things can be seen on this island such as cobblestone alleys, ancient churches, and historical monuments. The island is known to have some of the best beaches in the Cyclades with crystal clear sea waters and an abundance of beauty. Within Ios Island’s capital of Chora there is a vibrant nightlife scene where many bars, clubs and evening entertainment venues can be found.

Moving on we will travel from &nbsp;Ios Island to Santorini Island. Within the 17th century B.C. Santorini Island was reshaped, after a large volcanic eruption occurred causing the magnificent Santorini Caldera. There are many fascinating sites to discover on the island including its spectacular landscape, red and black volcanic beaches, a volcanic creator and dramatic sea views. Tour members can find many gourmet restaurants, Cycladic architecture, rocky landscapes and it is also a wonderful place to watch the sunset.

Today's journey will guide us from Santorini Island to Schinoussa Island. Schinoussa Island is a wonderful destination and this secluded paradise is perfect for tour members who prefer a tranquil and relaxed environment. Panagia is the main village and capital of the island, and here most of the facilities, such as taverns and shops can be found. Typical of most of the architecture that we have already witnessed, whitewashed houses, blue-domed chapels and narrow alleys combined with spectacular natural beauty, can all be seen. The beaches here are unspoiled by mass tourism with raw natural landscapes and crystal clear water, providing the perfect place to enjoy swimming and nature.

We will then sail from Schinoussa Island to Naxos Island. Naxos Island is quieter compared to its neighboring Cycladic islands and the islands that we have already visited. It is home to many ancient sites, with its past being strongly influenced by the Venetians and the Franks. Along with its ancient temples and impressive monuments, the island showcases a beautiful natural landscape where green valleys, beautiful beaches, rural villages and large mountains can be seen. When exploring the island visitors can expect to see whitewashed houses and streets filled with medieval charm. It has some of the best beaches within the Cyclades islands and its coastline is lined with many sandy and quiet areas all surrounded by crystal clear waters. After exploring Naxos we will visit Rhenia Island which is located on the southwest of Mykonos. This quiet area is uninhabited, and several excavations have taken place here, uncovering a variety of ruins and artifacts. Temples, houses and a road have been discovered, along with a Roman headstone and a large lion statue. Today there are five chapels and a few farmhouses that can be seen along with many wonderful beaches showcasing golden sandy textures and pristine turquoise waters.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Mykonos Island at 9:00 am. Mykonos Island is situated in the heart of the Cyclades group and has become extremely well known as a popular, cosmopolitan and luxurious holiday destination. This island has two completely different looks that complement one another perfectly. &nbsp;One is picturesque, with stone-paved alleys, whitewashed houses, country chapels and windmills, that provide a calm and peaceful vibe. The other is the modern, cosmopolitan aspect which comes alive at night when visitors dance and socialize within the lively clubs and bars.
