The Antalya Blue Cruise is a fantastic trip, full of exciting swimming opportunities, picturesque beauty, historical ruins and crystal-clear sailing waters.

Spectacular Locations, Fascinating History and Calm Blue Waters

Kemer is a seaside resort that is located west of the city of Antalya. The coast has typical Mediterranean weather, with hot, dry days and a beautiful warm sea. Until the early 1980s, this was a quiet and rural district, but today the town of Kemer and its coastal villages are known for tourism. Tour members will depart at 4:00 pm. from Kemer. It is surrounded by the beautiful turquoise waters of the Aegean Sea, and there is plenty to see and do in this part of the country, including visiting popular sites, exploring historical attractions, and relaxing destinations. The route will also include pleasing swimming spots and beaches that are located within the area, all home to crystal-clear waters and perfect natural landscapes for all to admire.

Today will be a day of exploring and refreshing swimming spots. We will start our day in the town of Kumluca, which is located 90 kilometers west of the city of Antalya and lies on the Teke Peninsula. It is situated close to Olympos, which is another very popular holiday destination. Kumluca is known for its sandy soil that is good for growing watermelons and its spectacular scenery. Our next stop for today will be Olympos Ancient City, where historic ruins from the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods have survived to the present day. Tour members can explore the site and delve into its history. We will then enjoy the wonderful sights of the wide open bay of Porto Ceneviz, where the rocks rise out of the sea almost horizontally, giving the bay a protected feel. The sea here is calm, and the waters are warm. After exploring, the tour will guide us to Adrasan, also known as Cavus Bay. The bay lies within the 2.5-kilometer stretch of coastline where there are many sandy and shingle beaches to enjoy and villages to explore.

First on the agenda for today will be exploring the fantastic ancient city of Simena. It was once a small Lycian coastal city but today it is known as Kalekoy, one of the rare settlements in Turkey that can only be reached by boat. Tour members can explore a 300-seat theater, temples, and Lycian tombs. A short hike away, old stone houses can be seen scattered up the hillside leading to the ruins of Simena Castle. The origins of the castle date back to the Roman and Byzantine periods. It is said to have been built by the Knights of Rhodes to fend off pirates who threatened to invade the area. Although the fortress walls are the most prominent feature of the castle, a small theater can also be found within the ruins, adding to its Lycian history. We will then visit Kekova, one of the most unspoiled areas within Antalya. It is a natural wonder that fascinates guests with its underwater sarcophagi, rock tombs and bays of all shapes and sizes. Here the Sunken City can be explored, which is submerged under water due to unfortunate earthquakes. Sarcophagi and rock tombs can also be seen bearing traces of the Hellenistic and Roman periods. We will then visit Burc Bay which has a cove like shape, it has steep jagged walls covered in bright green bushes resembling a fjord. The bay has a striking light blue watercolor and is an extremely popular swimming spot. The water temperature is cooler here than other bays within the area due to an underwater mineral source, perfect for a refreshing swim on a hot summer's day. Esmeralda Bay is next on the agenda for today. Its name is very distinctive in comparison to other bay areas within the region. It is said that the bay was named after the first ever Blue Cruise boat that visited this area in 1960. Some rumors also state that the bay was named after the deep green visual properties of the bay's waters which can easily resemble the beautiful Emerald gemstone. Our final stop for today will be Gokkaya Bay, &nbsp;popular with Blue Cruise boats as its historical, cultural, and natural beauties all intertwine. The sea is cool here as there are cold-water springs, perfect for a refreshing evening swim on a hot summer's day.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Cayagzi Bay at 9:00 am. Here nature lives in harmony with history and offers visitors the chance to enjoy swimming with native sea turtles and relaxing in a tranquil enviroment. It is a very beautiful and secluded place with an abundance of unspoiled nature. We will then travel approximately 2 kilometers to our &nbsp;final stop which is the town of Demre. In ancient Lyrican times Demre was known as Myra. It was an important town and by the 4th century had its own bishop, it was also the home of Saint Nicholas of Myra who was the original Santa Claus. Tour members can find many historical sites such as tombs, a Roman theater, churches and other remains of Roman Myra to explore. Local handmade crafts, souvenirs and locally made rugs can also be purchased.
