Ancient Architecture, Mesmerizing Caves, and Unspoilt Beauty

On the first day of the tour we will depart at 4:00 pm and the journey will lead us from Split to Brac Island. Split, is the second largest city within Croatia, perfect for history enthusiasts as it is rich in history with many archaeological sites and historical buildings falling under the protection of UNESCO heritage. Brac Island will be next on agenda, it is known for having some of the best beaches in the world, including the triangular-shaped Zlanti Rat Beach, Acapulco Beach, and Martinica Beach, all of which provide perfect environments for sunbathing and swimming. Along with its spectacular beaches, Brac has many fun things on offer such as hiking to mysterious sites or visiting the Olive Oil Museum and the Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel. Our final destination for today on the north-west side of Brac Island is Milna. Known as the bay of a thousand ships, Milna has been a popular port for sailors since ancient times. Today, it is also a thriving tourist center and here tour members can visit historical sights, such as the Baroque church, admire its natural beauty and embrace its irresistible charm.

Today's journey will lead us from Brac Island to Vis Island. Within Vis Island, tour members can find many mysterious bays, underwater caves, an Archaeological Museum, Fisherman’s Museum and shipwrecks. The island is a gastronomic hotspot, where many fresh fish restaurants can be found serving local delicacies. While exploring Vis Island tour members will have the opportunity to visit the town of &nbsp;Komiza which is located on the western side of the island. It is a typical Mediterranean village, attracting tourists due to its beautiful beaches, narrow roads and lovely harbor. Moving on we will now visit the spectacular Bisevo Island which is located five nautical miles southwest of Vis Island. Since the independence of Croatia, it has slowly started to welcome local and foreign tourism, showcasing its traditional values and cultural heritage. Although the island's surface area is only 6 square kilometers, the nature that has flourished in this location is rich, full of mysterious caves and sandy beaches. There are 26 known caves carved into the limestone by the sea's waves with the most popular being the Blue Cave. Bisevo Blue Cave, also known as the Blue Grotto, is located on the eastern side of the island and is one of the most outstanding attractions in the Adriatic. The waterlogged, sea sculpted cave is filled with theatrical colors and shapes. The reflection of the sunlight brightens the cave, giving it an aquamarine and silver color. Around midday the sunlight shines through the cave’s opening producing a fluorescent, shimmery blue light effect for which it has become famous.

Today's tour will take us from Vis Island to Hvar Island. Firstly we will visit the Pakleni Islands which are a chain of rocky islets located just off the coast of Hvar. Here tour members will find picturesque coves, stunning beaches, bars, and an abundance of spectacular nature. The Pakleni islands archipelago consists of 16 car free islands or islets, with the three most popular being Sveti Klement, Marinkovac and Jerolim. The islands are known for their clear waters, wonderful snorkeling and swimming opportunities, secluded beaches, breathtaking view points and quaint villages. The next stop on today's agenda is Hvar Island, home to the most UNESCO heritage of any island in the world. This island has it all from spectacular beaches, delicious Mediterranean food, indigenous grapes creating the finest wines and a wide variety of water and land sports. Here tour members will have the opportunity to see rich Venetian architecture and cultural heritage sites along with the island's iconic waterfront, also known as Riva, which is among the most luxurious on the Adriatic.

Today we will travel from Hvar Island to Korcula Island, it is the sixth-largest island in Croatia known for its dense forestry and lush vegetation. Within Korcula Island lies Korcula Old Town where medieval squares, churches, palaces and houses can be seen. The old town may be small but it is very well preserved. The layout and construction of the Old Town dates back to the second half of the 13th century, laid out in a shape resembling a fishbone in order to protect it from the sea's strong winds. Tour members can visit many historic and cultural attractions here such as Land Gate, Revelin Tower, Sea Gate, St Mark’s Cathedral, Town Museum and Marco Polo’s House.

Today we will sail from Korcula Island to Mljet Island. Mljet Island is one of Croatia's greenest areas and here tour members can enjoy clear sea waters, a gentle sandy shoreline and a rich underwater sea life. We will also visit Mljet National Park which is full of natural beauty. Declared as a national park in the 1960’s, this destination is a very popular location for travelers due to the two saltwater lakes of Veliko Jezero and Malo Jezero also known as the big and small lakes. The lakes were formed more than 10,000 years ago, and are linked together by a small channel, and to the sea by a larger channel. Both of these lakes have their own ecosystem complete with a special species of jellyfish, completely harmless to humans. The species are 24 million years old and cannot be found anywhere else in the world. At the big lake of Veliko Jezero, beautiful coral reefs can be discovered under the water and in the center lies St. Mary Island where a 12th-century Benedictine monastery can be seen. Both of these lakes are warmer than the sea, making them a wonderful place to swim and snorkel. The tour will then continue on to Miljet Island / Polace, which was once an ancient trading port. It was well known as the safest port on the eastern side of the Adriatic due to its large bay that is sheltered by four small islets. The final stop on the agenda for today is Mljet Island / Pomena, the small harbor and village is well known for its farming, fishing and touristic amenities. Here tour members can find restaurants, coffee shops, bars, souvenir shops and a lovely beach area.

Today's tour will guide us from Mljet Island to Sipan Island.Sipan Island is the largest out of the main Elafiti islands. It has a peaceful atmosphere, and a landscape that has not been affected by mass tourism. Here tour members can explore the villages of Sudjuradj, on the southeastern tip of the island, and Sipanska Luka, on the western side, each of which are centered around beautiful bays. There are many churches to discover here such as the 11th century St Peter’s Church and the Church of the Holy Spirit. Remains of summer houses that were once occupied by members of the Dubrovnik aristocracy can be seen along with a few restaurants serving island delicacies and many olive fields.

Today's tour will guide us from Sipan Island to Lopud Island. Lopud Island is described by many as the most charming out of the Elaphite Islands. What was once a popular summer holiday destination for aristocratic families has become a thriving international tourist destination. Within this car-free island there is just one picturesque village where many stone houses complemented by citrus groves can be seen along with a Franciscan monastery from the 15th century and a lovely waterfront promenade, with many restaurants and coffee bars. This small island has several sandy beaches to enjoy with the most popular being Sunj beach on the southeast side of the Island. Our tour will conclude at Dubrovnik / Zaton Veliki. The village lies on the coast of the Zaton Bay, on the Dubrovnik Riviera, 8 kilometers northwest of Dubrovnik. Thriving in farming, viticulture, olive growing and beautiful beaches. Here tour members can enjoy a range of activities such as bicycling, rafting, canoeing and water sports.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Lopud Island to Dubrovnik at 9:00 am. Dubrovnik was once known as Ragusa during the rule of the Byzantine Empire, and later became one of the most popular holiday destinations in Croatia. Attracting visitors from all over the world, it showcases culture, spectacular scenery, calm crystal-clear waters, and unique history. Here tour members can delve into the city's influential historical sites, or take a trip on the Dubrovnik cable cars, which provide sensational views of the whole city and the shimmering Adriatic waters.
