Livadi

Welcome to Livadi, the largest settlement and main port of Serifos. This charming coastal village is located on the southeast side of the island, only about 5 kilometers away from the capital, Chora. It offers charming Cycladic architecture, stunning beaches, and a rather laid-back lifestyle that many visitors deeply appreciate. As the main port of the island, it has the best tourist infrastructure, boasting a variety of hotels, restaurants, taverns, bars, and clubs with incredible views of the Aegean Sea.

 Anchorage Information

 Livadi Bay provides excellent anchorage options for yachts of all sizes. Its sheltered and well-protected bay makes it ideal for overnight stays. The depth ranges from 3 to 8 meters, and guests can safely anchor on sandy and rocky bottoms. The bay is rarely crowded, ensuring a peaceful and serene atmosphere, though it can get busy around midday with visiting cruise boats. Be mindful of prevailing northwesterly winds, which can occasionally pick up in strength.

Beach Conditions

 The beaches in Livadi boast crystal-clear turquoise waters and a mix of sand and shingle shores. The water temperature ranges from a delightful 75 to 80 degrees Fahrenheit (24 to 27 degrees Celsius) during the summer season, providing the perfect conditions for refreshing swims and water activities.

The main beach in the bay is known as Livadi Beach. It is kid-friendly, with calm, shallow waters and various beach bars and cafes where snacks and drinks can be found. It is also wheelchair-accessible and has a sea track to safely guide wheelchair users into the water.

Visitors can also take advantage of the Meltemi wind for windsurfing, kiteboarding, and sailing. Several rental shops offer equipment for both beginners and experienced enthusiasts.

1. Beach-hopping

Livadi is near several stunning beaches, including Livadi Beach, Avlomonas Beach, and Karavi Beach. Each offers its own unique charm, providing opportunities for sunbathing, swimming, and snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters. Additionally, for those who like to watch the sun rise, there are some beach cafes that open early in the morning for breakfast.

Though the nightlife on Serifos is not particularly untamed, Livadi offers a few late night restaurants and clubs where patrons can enjoy a late evening.
