Spectacular Sights, Fascinating History, and Beautiful Beaches

On the first day of the tour we will travel from Dubrovnik to Elaphiti Islands. Tour members will depart at 4:00 pm from Dubrovnik. The city is located on the southern coast of Dalmatia, surrounded by the glistening Adriatic Sea. Also referred to as the pearl of the Adriatic, it is known for its stone city walls and fortresses that surround Dubrovnik’s Old Town. It has many interesting medieval structures to visit within its walls, such as the Church of St. Blaise and the Franciscan Church and Monastery. Our day will conclude at Sipan Island, which is the closest island to Dubrovnik, and largest out of the main Elafiti Islands. Here tour members can explore the villages of Sudjuradj, on the southeastern tip of the island, and Sipanska Luka, on the western side, each centered around beautiful bays. There are many churches to discover such as the 11th century St Peter’s Church and the Church of the Holy Spirit, along with remains of summer houses that were once occupied by some of the Dubrovnik aristocracy. There are also a few restaurants serving island delicacies and many olive fields to admire.

Today we will sail from Elaphiti Island to Korcula Island which is the sixth-largest island in Croatia known for its dense forestry. Within Korcula Island &nbsp;lies Korcula Old Town where medieval squares, churches, palaces and houses can be seen. The old town may be small but it is very well preserved, the layout and construction of the Old Town dates back to the second half of the 13th century, laid out in a shape resembling a fishbone to protect against the sea's strong winds. Tour members can visit many attractions here such as the Land Gate, Revelin Tower, Sea Gate, St Mark’s Cathedral, Town Museum and Marco Polo’s House. After exploring we will conclude the day at Korcula Wine Tasting. Wine tasting is the perfect way to learn more about the wines that are produced on the island. With over 40,000 winemakers in Croatia, Korcula has some excellent local wines, it is best known for its white wines due to their famous and indigenous grapes but delicious red wines can also be found.

Today's tour will take us from Korcula Island to Lastovo Island. Lastovo Island's population is less than 1,000 and is just 18 square miles in size. Up until 1988 the island was closed to visitors when it fell under Yugoslavia rule. As it hasn't been touched by mass tourism it has a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere with little amenities compared to other Dalmatian islands. Lastovo and its surrounding islands make up one of the eleven nature parks in Croatia. Here we will visit Lastovo Nature Park, which is the second most forested area in Croatia, full of thriving vegetation and nature and is most definetly a spectacular site to see. As for beaches, many have rocky or pebbled textures such as Skrivena Luka on the south of the island and Zaklopatica in the north. As earlier mentioned there are only a handful of amenities on the island which include a few restaurants producing local delicacies and a tourist office that can help guide tour members to one of the many walking or hiking trails such as Hum Hill which is the highest point of the island.

On today's tour we will travel from Lastovo Island to Hvar Island and Pakleni Islands. Hvar Island is one of Croatia's crown jewels, home to the most UNESCO heritage of any island in the world and it has more sunny hours than any other in Europe. This island has it all from spectacular beaches, delicious Mediterranean food delicacies, indigenous grapes creating the finest wines and a wide variety of water and land sports to choose from.&nbsp;Here tour members can also find attractions such as Hvar Fortress which lies high above Hvar town, a Franciscan Monastery, Veneranda, the Arsenal and theater, and Hanibal Lucic garden. The iconic waterfront, also known as Riva, is among the most luxurious on the Adriatic, where many superyachts can be seen and the best nightlife in the Adriatic can be found. We will then move on to the Pakleni Islands which are a chain of rocky islets located just off the coast of Hvar. Here tour members will find picturesque coves, stunning beaches, bars, and an abundance of spectacular nature. The Pakleni islands archipelago consists of 16 car free islands or islets, with the three most popular being Sveti Klement, Marinkovac and Jerolim. The islands are known for their clear waters, wonderful snorkeling and swimming opportunities, secluded beaches, breathtaking view points and quaint villages.

Today's journey will lead us from Pakleni Islands to Peljesac Peninsula. The Peljesac Peninsula juts out diagonally into the Adriatic Sea, and is home to towns such as Orebic, Trpanj and Ston. The 65 kilometer long peninsula is the second largest in Croatia, and well known for its fantastic wines, oysters, salt production and breathtaking landscape. Many fabulous beaches can be found along the peninsula’s coastline such as Prapratno Beach, Trstenica Beach, and Divna Beach along with many more all of which have clear waters, and phenomenal scenery to enjoy. Here tour members will have the opportunity on the Peljesac Peninsula, to enjoy Paddleboarding in the bays. It is a lovely way to experience more of this wonderful area whilst paddling around on the calm and clear sea waters.

Today we will travel from Peljesac Peninsula to Mljet Island. Mljet Island is one of Croatia's greenest areas. Here tour members can enjoy clear sea waters, a gentle sandy shoreline and a rich underwater sea life. The island is well known for its salted lakes of Veliko and Malo Jezero, which are located at the north end of the island and are favored swimming spots for locals and tourists. In the north-western part of the island lies Mljet National Park full of natural beauty and nature. Declared as a national park in the 1960’s it is the first institutionalized attempt to protect an original ecosystem in the Adriatic. İt is full of nature therefore, this destination is a very popular location for travelers.

On the final day of the tour, we will depart from Mljet Island to Dubrovnik at 9:00 am. Dubrovnik was once known as Ragusa and after much destruction and devastation, Dubrovnik reformed, becoming one of the most popular destinations in Croatia. It welcomes tourists during the summer season, showcasing its culture, spectacular scenery, calm crystal-clear waters, and unique history. Here tour members can delve into the city's influential historical and visit sites, such as Dubrovnik City Walls. The unbreeched walls are the city's most spectacular and defining feature, which enclose the historical heart of the city. The 2-kilometer-long structure, includes several forts and 16 towers, that were built between the 12th and 17th century protecting Dubrovnik from pirates and other unwelcome intruders. This beautiful city is also a well-known movie location and is home to the Dubrovnik Game of Thrones Movie Set. &nbsp;Its grand architecture and monuments provide a perfect setting to produce scenes with accuracy, such as Red Keep which is set in Fort Lovrijenac.
